Identify features in Desktop

Select Version of EA Desktop:

The Identify function provides a quick view of seismic features and quick navigation to the map location.

Identify: Populates a list of features associated to an item.

To Identify features:

  1. Locate the seismic data on the map and zoom to the area.

  2. Click Identify to turn on the identify selection cursor .

  3. Click and drag to draw an area around items on the map.
    The results open in the Identify window.

  4. Click on an item in the upper grid to display the associated features in the lower grid.

  5. Click Zoom To to zoom the map view to the item location.
  1. To add items from the Identify window directly to the Seismic grid, select the item and click Add To List. To select multiple items, hold Ctrl or Shift and click.
